Magical Experience near Apple Hill. Enchanted April B&B is my favorite fall getaway spot of all time. Apple Hill with all of the extraordinary Apple Harvest festivities is just a short drive away. And for a California history buff like me, I love that it's just up the road from the Town of Coloma and Sutter's Mill where John Marshall first discovered gold in 1848. And the excitement doesn't stop there; there are all sorts of quaint 1800 era gold rush towns nearby to explore, with lots of shops, restaurants with other cultural activities. At the end of the day, it's nothing short of magical to return to Enchanted April B&B to read a good book by the fire, with a glass of local wine. It's fun to chat with other guests and compare the day's adventures. A comfy bed awaits to cradle you into the happiest dreams imaginable. Total bliss... Can't wait to go for my next visit!

Elke von Schlosser has created a wonderful place to escape from the hectic pace of everyday life. Beautiful property with located on a lovely hillside surrounded by golden rolling hills and clear blue skies! Tranquil back patio area with a lovely pool. Delicious breakfast served on the patio... fresh flowers, adorable dishes... no detail overlooked! Thoughtful details and extras extend to the rooms as well. Each are very tastefully decorated, welcoming and comfortable with cozy robes, bottled water, and little extras only Elke would think of! We visited local wineries, hiked to a beautiful picnic spot by the river and watched the river rafters float by, hung out by the pool and grilled on the patio in the evening. Do as much or as little as you like... it is a great place to get away!

Even more enchanting the 2nd visit! Looking for a relaxing place to get away? This is it... Beautiful property, cozy rooms and an amazing breakfast! Sitting outside by the reflecting pool at sunset, the fire blazing... fantastic way to end the day. Visit the local wineries and enjoy all that there is to offer in Gold Country. If you are looking for highlights to check out, just ask Elke (the owner)... she seems to know so many great spots that should not be missed!

It's a lovely large "Country Farm House" with a feeling of quiet English taste but the best part are the horses. They accommodate horses and out your window in the morning are the white fences and grazing beauties. The owner is a wonderful hostess. Never in the way, but you want for nothing. I was there with a group of riders and we did wonderful day trips to fabulous trails. We went in April (coincidence) and although it was an unusually rainy couple of days, we got some fabulous rides in by the American River and it was lovely to come home to wine, hot tea and a welcome smile.
